Welcome to Crickhowell Open Gardens

We are a community organisation set up to organise an annual Open Gardens event in Crickhowell, Powys in order to raise money for local charities and good causes, and to allow visitors to enjoy the features of this pretty town.

This year's event is being held on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June 2018, from 11am to 5pm.

There are over 20 different gardens open, plus plant sales, free parking, free shuttle bus, refreshments, cream teas. Lynne Allbutt, our local gardening expert and author, said that Crickhowell Open Gardens resembled "a wonderful, more rural version of the Chelsea Flower Show". Come along and convince yourself that Crickhowell has really something special to offer, from the smaller town gardens to the grand gardens with spectacular views across the valley.

Tickets are on sale from the Market Hall from 10.30am - 4pm, £5.00 for one day or £7.50 for two days, accompanied children free.

Parking is either at the town's official car park: turn left after the Fire Station when you come from the west, turn right before the Fire Station when you come from the east (parking charges apply).

Free parking:

Coming from the west: as you approach Crickhowell on the A40 from Brecon, turn right at the Shell petrol filling station into New Road and right again after 40 yards into the High School car park. If the main car park at the top is full, continue down to the bottom and round the school building. Do NOT park outside the sports centre. From the High School cross New Road at the pedestrian crossing, walk through Church Lane and straight on through Silver Lane and past the library. Turn left into the High Street, and the Market Hall is on the left.

Coming from the east: you can park at the Elvicta Business Park on the left-hand side shortly before you get into Crickhowell. From there it is only a 7-minute walk to town and the Market Hall. Turn left into the High Street at the Monument, and the Market Hall is on your right.
